This is a celebration of the achievements from the previous year and presentation of the Full Vocational Member certificates for graduating Associates. The upgrade will install automatically on devices with auto app updates enabled.

Men’s Summer Cup
2023 Summer Cup again proved a battle of attrition. This long standing competition asks players to not only play their best golf but also turn up with the best physical and mental fitness for 36 holes each day of the finals. Congratulations to Franz Wentzel who showed great maturity and composure for his age to beat David Young in the semi final 2&1 and then Richard Harrison in the final 1 up. Franz was very complimentary in his assessment of Richards game and said it was a tight tussle all match. Congratulations also to Stephen Cooper for winning the B Grade Summer Cup. Stephen came up against tough opponents all day having to beat Jim Crane 2&1 in the semi final and then Mark Lawson 2&1 in the final. Well done to David Schwartz who took out the Summer Plate against Doug Zahmel.

Upcoming Ladies Events
Tuesday 28th March will mark the first of our ladies social shotgun starts for the year. This will coincide with the Final of the JP Mullholland Matchplay. The competition of the day with be a single stableford and there will be multiple presentations made on the day. It will be great to see as many ladies present and possible. |

Southern Cross Kids Charity Golf DayOn Friday 3rd March, we were lucky enough to host the NHP Golf Day supporting Southern Cross Kids Camps. Southern Cross Kids’ Camps is a Christian organisation that interrupts the cycle of abuse and neglect in primary aged kids from hard places. Their camps are designed to bring fun and laughter back into the lives of children whose everyday existence is less than ideal.
It was an afternoon shotgun full of fun and festivities including a chocolate wheel, raffles and a beat the pro on the 18 hole. NHP and their supporters did a fantastic job and were able to raise just over $42,000 for Southern Cross Kids Camps. It costs around $500 per child to attend an event so needless to say there will be a few happy campers. |
